A resin set of three figures in 1:35 from the PANZER ART brand. The Waffen-SS marking is part of the name of the item and is given as a statement about the pattern of the clothing. For a modeler one thing matters: the overalls carry a camouflage pattern, and in this scale that cannot be printed or applied as a decal — it is painted by hand. That sets the set apart from all figures in single-color clothing — what you are buying is above all painting work.
The overall is one-piece and was pulled on over the other clothing, so it has a loose cut, long soft folds and no sharp edges. That helps the pattern: the drawing breaks across the folds and does not read as print. An approach that works reliably: first paint the whole overall in the base, lightest shade of the pattern and let the shading of the folds run through completely on it. Only onto a finished, shaded surface lay the irregular blotches of the second and third shade, with a fine brush and a small amount of paint. The blotches must not be the same size or evenly spread, and they have to pass across the folds, not go around them. Then blend the edges softly with a thin glaze of the base tone — a sharp outline is the most common mistake and gives hand painting away at once. Anyone working with an airbrush can finish the transitions with very thinned paint at low pressure. Finally bring the surface together with an overall glaze and add dust, so that the pattern settles into the whole and does not shout.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc, sand wet and with breathing protection, glue with cyanoacrylate glue and fill the gaps — across a camouflage pattern an unrepaired gap is twice as visible. Lay the base down with a light gray primer, as a dark one would dull the pattern.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
