Mark IV Female 1:144 is a tiny kit of the British heavy tank of the First World War in the machine gun version from Brengun.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the British Mark IV heavy tank in the Female version in 1:144 scale. It is a model in its own right, not an addition to another kit. In this scale it is a small item, which modelers most often build as a counterpart to the Male version or as an addition to a display case of aircraft. The number of parts and the material are stated on the box.
The Female version differed from the Male in its armament: instead of guns in the side sponsons it carried machine guns only and was intended mainly against infantry, whereas the Male was to deal with tougher targets. Both versions shared the same rhomboid hull with the track running around the whole outline, the same drive and the same low road speed. The sponsons of the Female version are narrower, which is the most conspicuous recognition mark on a model too.
Check the sponsons and how they sit against the sides of the hull dry before you reach for the glue — this is exactly where a gap most often appears in a small scale. Rather sand the parting lines off the castings with a fine file than pare them away; in 1:144 it is easy to take off more than is needed. Lay the primer on in a thin coat, so that the relief of the rivets is not lost. Imitate mud and dust with pigment underneath at the tracks and with a light breath of dust from below upward, not over the whole surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
