The set contains 200 turned metal track link pins intended for joining the individual track links of a large scale model of the Pz.Kpfw. IV tank in 1:16 scale. The large package covers a complete track run. It is not a model of the tank, nor a complete set of tracks, but a functional detail accessory. It is made by the Polish company Aber, a specialist in turned and photo-etched metal details.
The Pz.Kpfw. IV was the most widely used German medium tank of the Second World War. The links of its tracks were joined by pins, which on models in 1:16 scale make it possible to assemble a realistic, workable track run. Metal pins are stronger and more faithful than plastic substitutes; the larger package is enough for both tracks at once.
Slide the pins into the prepared holes in the track links; depending on the type of tracks, secure them with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The protruding ends can be sanded down and cleaned up. Degrease the metal and apply a primer suitable for metal before painting.
This is a supplementary metal set, not a model in itself nor a complete set of tracks. The base kit, the tracks, glue and paints are not included in the package.
