Aber 1:16 Pz.Kpfw. IV, Ausf.H/J – ammo stowage rack type A (Vol.16A) is a photo-etched detail set of a stowage rack for long rounds for a model of the Pz.Kpfw. IV medium tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains photo-etched and metal parts of the type A ammo stowage rack for long rounds, intended for the interior of the German Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf.H/J (Sd.Kfz. 161/2) medium tank in 1:16 scale. It is part Vol.16A of an extensive series of detail sets, not a model. It is made by the Polish company Aber.
The Pz.Kpfw. IV was the most widely used German medium tank of the Second World War; the Ausf.H and J versions carried the long 7.5 cm KwK 40 gun, which came with longer rounds as well. In the fighting compartment the ammunition was stowed in racks and bins; reproducing them faithfully matters above all on models with an interior that can be opened.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and bend them on a photo-etch bending tool; assemble the rack exactly in the given order so that it lines up with the interior of the hull. Glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with a glue for photo-etched metal. Finish and paint the interior parts before closing the hull. Degrease the parts before painting.
This is a supplementary photo-etched set, not a model in itself. The base kit, the ammunition, glue and paints are not included in the package.
