Aber Pz.Kpfw. IV, Ausf.H – ammo stowage rack type B for long rounds (1:16) is a turned and photo-etched metal detail set that completes the internal stowage of the rounds of the Panzer IV medium tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
This detail set from the Polish maker Aber is intended for the large scale model of the Pz.Kpfw. IV, Ausf.H medium tank in 1:16 scale. It offers a faithful rendering of the type B rack for stowing long rounds of 7.5 cm caliber, an element of the fighting compartment that plastic castings usually simplify. The set combines photo-etched metal parts with turned ones; check the exact contents and the number of parts against the instructions included.
The Panzer IV Ausf.H was one of the most widely used versions of the German medium tank of the Second World War. In the H version it carried the long gun of 7.5 cm caliber, the KwK 40, and the sizeable rounds were stowed in metal racks both in the turret and in the hull. It is exactly such a stowage system that this set portrays, which builders with an open interior will appreciate.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them on a photo-etch bending tool or against a metal ruler. Glue the joints with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or solder them. Degrease the metal and apply a primer for metal before painting; weather the interior parts with a wash and drybrushing to bring the relief out.
This is a detail accessory, not a model of the tank. The base model, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
