The set contains turned and photo-etched metal US Army antennas intended for use with the MP-48 antenna base in 1:16 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle but a detail accessory for building American military equipment. The antennas complete the MP-48 base that Aber makes as well, and together they form a faithful antenna installation. It is made by the Polish company Aber.
Whip antennas were an integral part of the radio equipment of American army vehicles during the Second World War and after it. The metal version in 1:16 scale offers a realistic profile and a strength that a plastic part does not have.
Degrease the metal antennas before gluing. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) to fit them into the base; long antennas can also be glued into a drilled hole for strength. The metal takes fine sanding and polishing. Apply a primer suitable for metal before painting.
This is a supplementary metal set, not a model in itself. The base kit, the antenna base, glue and paints are not included in the package.
