An unassembled injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese maker Aoshima in 1:24 scale. The subject is the Nissan Gloria of the 430 series in the four-door hardtop form with the luxury 280E Brougham equipment, that is, with a generous six-cylinder engine. The set is meant to be glued together and painted.
The 430 series belonged to the stately upper class of the Nissan brand and was the sister model of the Cedric series. The 280E version carried a larger inline six-cylinder with electronic fuel injection, and the Brougham equipment level represented the highest degree of comfort. The four-door hardtop with no center pillars underlined the elegant look of the car.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and spray the body with surfacer and a gloss clear coat. The quantity of chrome trim strips typical of period limousines will come out after careful cleaning up and spraying. The Brougham-style interior will reward painting the textures of the seats and the trim. Glue the hardtop glazing with a glue that does not fog the clear parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
