Responsibility details are not available.
The MG Metro 6R4 is a British Group B competition special. Under bodywork derived from a small city car there is quite different engineering: the engine sits in the middle behind the crew and drives all four wheels. The designation 6R4 sums that up, that is, six cylinders, a rally purpose and four-wheel drive. The six-cylinder engine is a V configuration and naturally aspirated, which set the car apart from its forced-induction rivals and showed in its behavior as well. The year 1986 in the name refers to the last season of Group B; after the category was abolished these cars found a use in rallycross.
A short wheelbase, angular shapes, markedly widened fenders and large aerodynamic elements front and rear. It is precisely this combination that makes the car a rewarding model for a display case, because it is recognizable at first glance even from a distance.
The 1:24 scale is the most common for cars and the parts are large enough to be worked on comfortably. The bodywork calls for the most work: try the mating surfaces dry, fill the gaps and wash and degrease the surfaces before painting, so that the paint does not hold only in places. Apply the paint in several light coats. If you are going to apply decals, prepare a smooth gloss base for them, otherwise matte edges will appear under them.
Paints, glue and filler are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
