An injection-molded plastic kit of the Nissan Skyline GT-R sports coupe in the Nismo version, factory designation BNR32, of the 1990 model year, in 1:24 scale from the Japanese maker Hasegawa. The model belongs to a collector range of historic Japanese cars. The number of parts, the exact package contents and the extent of the decals are given on the packaging and in the enclosed instructions.
The Skyline GT-R of the R32 generation returned to the scene at the end of the 1980s and became one of the best-known Japanese sports cars of all. It was powered by a turbocharged inline six and the car had all-wheel drive with the flow of power biased to the rear axle, complemented by rear-wheel steering. The Nismo version was a lightened form intended to meet the homologation conditions of circuit racing: compared with the production car it differed in modifications to the front of the body and in the deletion of part of the comfort equipment.
The R32 body rests on sharp edges and straight lines, so sand the parting lines carefully so that the edges do not get rounded off. Paint over a primer in thin layers and polish the gloss coat once it has cured. Mask and spray the window frames and the black trim; a hand-held brush shows on straight lines. Finish the chassis, brakes and interior before closing the body up, apply the decals onto a glossy surface and fix them with varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
