Pallet stacks in 1:24 scale from the manufacturer MAiM are a diorama accessory for warehouses, yards, workshops and freight scenes. It is not a vehicle kit, but scenery that gives a scene its scale.

The set represents stacked transport pallets, that is, one of the most ordinary elements of every warehouse, yard and loading dock. It is not a kit of equipment, but a separate diorama accessory meant to complete a finished scene. Pallets have the advantage of being neutral in both period and geography: they serve equally well at a postwar workshop and at a present-day logistics hall.
Stacked pallets fill an empty corner of a diorama, create a natural screen behind figures or a base for further cargo. They can be separated and placed individually, leaned against a wall or loaded onto the bed of a truck. In 1:24, where every detail is clearly visible, it is precisely this kind of ordinary equipment that marks a living scene out from a model on a bare base.
The wood of pallets is a rewarding surface. The basis is a light gray-brown tone onto which thinned darker shades are applied so that the structure of the boards comes out; shade the individual boards unevenly on purpose and avoid a uniform area. A dry brush will pick out the edges and a dark wash will run into the seams between the boards and between the blocks. Suggest the knocked corners with a thin line of gray and with traces left by a forklift. Clean the parts up and degrease them before painting; on fine castings super glue holds best.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
