The box holds clear parts for the glazing and the headlights, plated parts, rubber tires and a decal sheet for the racing scheme. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The R31 generation Skyline appeared in the mid-1980s and brought a DOHC inline-six back into the Skyline range. Technically it was a very ambitious car for its day: the new RB engine family, the HICAS rear-wheel steering system and a turbocharger with a ceramic turbine wheel. The GTS-R version came about as a homologation series for Group A circuit racing and became the basis of the works and private racers that competed in the Japanese touring car championship at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. The Ricoh sponsor livery is among the best-known schemes of this car.
First take the parting lines off the body and degrease it, then lay down a base primer. On a multi-color racing scheme it helps to spray from the lightest color and to mask the boundaries with good modeling tape. Before the decals, lay down a gloss clear coat compatible with the paint used, settle the decals with a decal softener and finally seal them under another coat of clear so that the edges disappear. Leave the plated parts unlacquered and remove the plating where they are glued, otherwise the joint will not hold. Do not glue the rubber tires to painted wheels with cyanoacrylate before the paint has fully cured.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
