The Probox is a compact two- to five-seat utility van that Toyota builds as a purely working vehicle: a flat load floor, a simple interior, an emphasis on fuel consumption and low running costs. In Japan it is a common part of the fleets of companies and public offices alike. The road patrol standard tends to be fitted with warning lights and a conspicuous color scheme so that the vehicle is visible while working on the road. The NCP160V designation corresponds to the updated series from the middle of the 2010s.
A service vehicle stands on its markings, and with striped warning schemes those are done better with decals than with masking. The surest procedure is the classic sandwich: gloss clear coat, decal, another coat of clear. Transfer large decal areas in sections and fix them at once with softener, because once the film has dried crooked you will not move it. Over the transitions between panels and over pressings, let the decal pull down with a second application of softener, and prick any bubbles with the tip of a scalpel before you squeeze them out. Finally, even the whole vehicle out with a semi-matte clear coat, so that the glossy layer under the decals stops showing and the markings look sprayed on.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
