An unassembled injection-molded plastic kit of a car in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. The boxing is tied to a particular form: the 1989 model year, the force-fed GT Twin Turbo version and the White Package equipment package, which differed from the ordinary versions in its matched light exterior treatment. It is precisely the year and the equipment designation that set this box apart from the other releases of the A70 series.
The A70 generation Supra was built from the middle of the 1980s and was for the first time an entirely separate series, not a derivative of the Celica. It was a two-door coupe with the engine at the front and rear-wheel drive, with pop-up headlights and an inline six. The top versions were force-fed, and the Supra thus took its place among the key Japanese sports cars of its day. The 1989 model year falls into the period after the facelift, when the bumpers, the wheels and details of the interior were revised.
On a car the finish decides everything. First wash the mold release residue off the body, sand the seams and apply a primer. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats, let it cure thoroughly and only then polish it, otherwise the finish will sink. Leave the chrome parts in their original surface finish and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue or with a glue for clear plastic, so that they do not go matte. Never glue the glazing with ordinary cement for plastic. Finish the interior and the chassis before you close the body up, and bring out the gaps between the panels with a fine paneliner.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
