The model comes from the series Yoroshiku Mecha-doc, a Japanese tuning manga of the 1980s, and carries the designation High Geared after the car appearing in the story. The Piazza is a rare subject among kits that will certainly stand out in a collection of Japanese cars of the 1980s.
The Isuzu Piazza is a sports coupe built in the 1980s whose clean wedge-shaped lines were drawn by a famous Italian design studio. The aerodynamic body with semi-concealed headlights was among the most elegant shapes of its time, and the car gained its cult reputation partly thanks to its appearances in the popular culture of the day. Technically it was a rear-wheel-drive car of classic layout, which made it rewarding material in stories about tuning.
The rounded transitions of the body come out well after the joints are carefully sanded and a primer is laid on. Spray the paint in light coats and take care over the gloss clear coat — the smooth surfaces of the Piazza will reveal every flaw. We recommend masking the window frames and picking out the interior detail with a brush in matte shades.
