A sheet of waterslide decals with a wood grain drawing for 1:32, 1:35 and 1:48 scales. It serves to imitate wooden surfaces on a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Wood is hard to paint on a model: the drawing of the grain should be fine and regular and at the same time must not look like lines drawn with a brush. Decals with a wood grain drawing get around that step. They suit propellers, cockpit floors and walls, crates and shipping containers, the beds and bodies of vehicles as well as small accessories for a diorama. The sheet is intended for 1:32, 1:35 and 1:48 scales, so it will serve with aircraft as well as vehicles.
These are waterslide decals. Cut out the piece you need close to the drawing, soak it in water, let it rest and slide it off the paper into place. The base has to be smooth and clear coated to a gloss, otherwise a flat rim will appear under the decal. Once it is settled, draw the excess water off and use decal softener, so that the film is pressed onto the edges and transitions. Once it has dried, go over the whole with a clear coat, which seals the decal and evens the gloss out with its surroundings.
Plan the drawing in advance so that the grain runs along the part, not across it. On propeller blades work one side at a time and always let them dry. The shade of the wood can be fine-tuned with a thin glaze applied over the sealed decal.
The model, paints, clear coat and decal softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
