The AEG G.IV masking set in 1:32 scale from HGW makes precise painting of this German twin-engine bomber of the First World War easier.
Responsibility details are not available.
This self-adhesive masking set in 1:32 scale is intended for a model of the German twin-engine AEG G.IV bomber of the First World War. It is neither a kit nor paint — these are precisely cut masks that delimit the markings and the color fields while painting, so that you get sharp transitions without the slow masking with tape. HGW has long specialized in masking sets.
The AEG G.IV was a German twin-engine bombing biplane with a welded tube structure, powered by a pair of inline Mercedes engines. It served above all for tactical bombing and for attacks on the near rear of the front, and later for direct support of ground forces too. Thanks to its sturdy construction, one example has survived to this day.
Apply the masks onto a perfectly dry, smooth finish. Lay them down with tweezers, press the edges against paint creeping under and spray thin coats perpendicular to the edge. Once dry, lift the mask off while the paint is still flexible. Any adhesive residue can be removed by light polishing.
The masking set does not contain paints or a model. It serves as an aid when painting, unless stated otherwise.
