Four AIM-9P Sidewinder guided missiles in 1:32 scale as an accessory for models of combat airplanes.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AIM-9 Sidewinder is an American short-range guided missile with infrared guidance, that is, a weapon that finds its target by its heat emission. It is among the most widespread missiles of its kind in the world and, in many versions, has appeared under the wings of combat airplanes from the 1950s to this day. The AIM-9P version came about by reworking earlier members of the family and spread into the armament of foreign users as well.
According to the name, the package holds four missiles in 1:32 scale. Whether launch rails or pylons are included as well is stated in the manufacturer's instructions; weapon sets differ from one item to another in this respect. The missiles are fitted to the stores points of a model according to the appearance of the particular airplane you are building.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down; on the slim body of a missile work along the axis so that no flat spot forms. Fit the fins and stabilizers so that they stand level with their counterparts, otherwise the missile looks as if it hangs crooked on the model. Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap before painting and let them dry. The color bands on the body of a missile are easier to manage by masking with narrow tape than by painting freehand.
The set is intended for builders who want to add stores to a model or to replace the parts from the kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
