HGW double-sided seat belts for the Albatros D.V and D.Va in 1:32 scale are a fabric accessory printed on both sides with photo-etched buckles. It is a cockpit detail set, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech maker HGW brings realistic seat belts for models of the German Albatros D.V and D.Va fighter biplane of the First World War in 1:32 scale. What sets this line apart is that the belts are printed on both sides, so the reverse is worked out in detail too and looks faithful whichever way the belt is turned. It is not an aircraft model, but an aftermarket cockpit accessory.
The belts are laser-cut from printed microtextile, which behaves like real cloth. Printing on both sides makes it possible to show belts thrown loosely over the seat, twisted or undone and still have them look right. The photo-etched metal buckles were developed together with Eduard. The textile stands up to the usual mild modeling products and takes filters and oils.
Take the part off the sheet, peel the backing paper away and work the belt between your fingers for a natural fold. Thread the ends through the buckles and fix them with super glue. Once seated, pick the detail out gently with a heavily thinned oil paint.
The accessory is supplied on its own, unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
