HGW seat belts and pillow for the Albatros D.V and D.Va in 1:32 scale are a fabric accessory with photo-etched buckles and a fabric head rest for a model cockpit. It is a detail set, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech maker HGW holds realistic seat belts and a fabric pillow (a head rest) for models of the German Albatros D.V and D.Va fighter biplane of the First World War in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model, but an aftermarket cockpit accessory. The belts are laser-cut from printed microtextile and come with photo-etched metal buckles.
The fabric material behaves like real cloth, drapes well and holds its shape. The buckles were developed together with Eduard. Besides the belts the set holds a fabric pillow of the kind characteristic of period biplane cockpits. The textile stands up to the usual mild modeling products and takes filters and oils.
Take the parts off the sheet, peel the backing paper away and work the belts between your fingers. Thread the ends through the buckles and fix them with super glue. Seat the pillow and the belts in the cockpit and pick the folds out gently with a heavily thinned oil paint.
The accessory is supplied on its own, unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
