The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber deployed in the Second World War, famed for daylight strategic bombing over Europe and for its heavy defensive armament. The E and F versions were among the early combat standards, on which the armor protection and the defensive gun positions were improved step by step.
The photo-etched parts are separated from the fret with a sharp blade, bent over a metal bending tool and glued as a rule with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Pre-colored features can be left without further paint, while bare metal parts are worth degreasing before gluing and spraying with a base coat once assembled. The set is meant for more advanced modelers who want to raise the level of detail.
