Resin engines for the B-24 Liberator in 1:72 scale from Quickboost. A faithful replacement for the radial engines; it is not an airplane model. The target kit is the Academy one.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the radial engines of the American four-engine Consolidated B-24 Liberator heavy bomber in 1:72 scale. The Liberator was powered by air-cooled Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp radial engines. The castings bring a faithful rendering of the cylinders and the valve gear, which the base plastic treats in simplified form. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience. The seats and transitions match the Academy kit.
The front sections of the engine nacelles are clearly visible through the cowling rings, and their fidelity lifts the impression of the big bomber markedly. The resin castings have a finer radial structure than the plastic parts, and after painting in metallic shades with a wash they look realistic. They replace the simplified parts of the base kit.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
