Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Polish manufacturer Techmod holds a sheet of waterslide decals with markings for the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 fighter in 1:32 and a mask for the canopy. It is not a kit: it is an accessory for a model already built, which widens the choice of finishes beyond the contents of the box and at the same time eases the most tiresome part of the build, namely masking the glazing.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed the Emil, was a single-seat all-metal fighter with a liquid-cooled inverted V12 engine, a cantilever low wing and retractable landing gear. Against the older machines the E-4 version had a reworked canopy and armament combining machine guns above the engine with cannons in the wing. It was the main fighter version of 1940, and the type was also built in forms for operations over the sea and in North Africa.
Stick the mask onto perfectly cleaned and degreased glazing only after polishing, press it down with a wooden toothpick and spray in thin layers, as a heavy layer of paint peels away with the edge when the mask is lifted off. Apply the decals onto a gloss coat that is completely dry: cut the motif out close, immerse it for a few seconds in lukewarm water, let it rest and slide it onto a dampened spot. Over engraved lines a decal softener helps. At the end give the model a matte or semi-gloss coat. The typical mottled finish of the fuselage sides is sprayed with an airbrush at low pressure and close up, so that a soft edge is kept.
This is a separate accessory. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
