A set of self-adhesive masks in 1:32 scale for building a model of the two-seat Sukhoi Su-25UB ground-attack aircraft in the form of the machine carrying the blue tactical number 67. There are no plastic parts and no decals in the package; it is an aid to painting. The manufacturer keeps the set under the designation Digital, which in its terminology refers to the blocky digital camouflage scheme.
The stencils transfer onto a model a shape that would be hard to draw by hand, and they keep it the same on the left and the right side. The paint is then part of the finish, not a film stuck on top, so it can be sanded, matted and weathered just like the rest of the surface without risk.
On curved surfaces such as the frame of the canopy or a leading edge, do not stretch a mask in one piece. Nick it gently where the bend is greatest and press it down in sections with a toothpick or a blunt wooden stick; a stretched mask will after a while return on its own and lift the edge. Before painting, spray the edge of the mask with a thin coat of the base color, which closes any microscopic gaps, and only then apply the target shade.
This is an accessory for building the model, not a standalone kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
