This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory for building the Dornier Do 335 in 1:32 scale. The set contains cast resin tires with flattening indicated at the contact point with the ground, which imitates the deformation of the rubber under the weight of a standing machine. The package includes the nosewheel and the main wheel.
Weighted tires are a popular detail, because it is exactly an unflattened wheel that gives away that something is a model. The effect of the rubber settling gives a parked aircraft on a model believable weight and a sense of standing still. The set suits building a standing machine on a diorama and on a stand of its own alike.
First wash the parts free of any release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off carefully and level the sanded surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue resin with cyanoacrylate. The wheels go well with photo-etched or metal landing gear struts, which add strength and a realistic stance.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
