A set of seat belts of fabric completed by photo-etched brass fittings, the buckles and the clasps, for a faithful rendering of the cockpit of the Do 335B-2 Pfeil in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory — fabric seat belts are supple, they drape naturally and they look more realistic than belts cast in plastic.
The Dornier Do 335 Pfeil was a German fighter aircraft of the end of the Second World War with an unusual layout of two engines in tandem, one at the front with a tractor propeller and the other at the rear with a pusher propeller. The B-2 version was conceived as a heavily armed fighter.
Cut the belts out, pull them through the photo-etched buckles and fix them with a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue. The fabric can be shaped over an edge, so the belts blend faithfully with the seat. Color finishing is not necessary; the tone can be evened out with a light wash if needed.
This is a detail accessory, not a model on its own. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
