This photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:32 scale adds fine metal details to the outer surface of the F-86K Sabre jet fighter. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory to a kit. The exterior etched parts sharpen the panels, the covers and the small features of the skin beyond what a plastic mold can do.
The North American F-86 Sabre was an American jet fighter of the early 1950s. The F-86K version was an interceptor variant meant for night and all-weather duty, supplied to European allies within NATO as well. In the large 1:32 scale even small exterior details stand out, and the photo-etched set completes them faithfully.
Separate the etched parts with a sharp knife and make the bends on a bending tool. Glue the metal with cyanoacrylate glue and go over it with a primer for metal before painting. Seat the fine exterior parts so that they line up with the surface of the skin, and try the work dry beforehand.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
