This set from the Czech maker Eduard holds photo-etched parts of thin sheet for detailing the underwing armament of the F-8 Crusader fighter in its E and J versions in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory for the base plastic model.
The photo-etched parts refine the pylons, adapters, fins and other small features of the underwing armament that are simplified in injection-molded plastic. A model thus gains a truer arrangement and a thickness of detail true to scale under the fuselage and the wings.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade, form the bends over a metal bending tool and glue with super glue or epoxy. Plan the assembly with the plastic pylons and weapons in mind, and degrease the sheet before painting.
This is an add-on set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
