Fw 190 V75 with the SG 113 Förstersonde — conversion set 1:32 from the Czech manufacturer AML. A resin conversion to the experimental anti-tank test aircraft with a vertically mounted weapon.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin conversion set from the Czech manufacturer AML in 1:32 scale. This is not a stand-alone kit: the set serves to convert a standard Focke-Wulf Fw 190 model into the V75 test prototype with the experimental SG 113 Förstersonde anti-tank installation. The result is a model that will certainly not blend in among the other Fw 190s on a competition table or in a display case.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the most important German fighters of the Second World War. The V75 prototype served at the end of the war as a test platform for the SG 113 Förstersonde, an anti-tank weapon with vertically mounted barrels that were to fire downwards at the moment the aircraft passed over a tank. Firing was handled by a sensor reacting to the metal mass of the vehicle. The system was tested in the closing stages of the war and never entered service, but as a subject it is a showcase of the blind alleys of airborne weapon development.
The resin parts are cast on casting blocks; cut them away with a fine saw or a razor saw a little way from the part and sand the remainder down carefully. When sanding resin, protect your airways or sand under water. Degrease the parts before painting and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. On a test aircraft a simple scheme with more pronounced weathering around the weapon installation looks convincing.
An accessory set; this is not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
