A resin detail accessory from the Czech manufacturer AML. This is not a stand-alone aircraft model: the set replaces the pilot's seat in a kit of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A or F series in 1:32 scale with a more faithfully shaped casting complete with belts.
In the open cockpit of the Fw 190 the seat is one of the most visible parts. Production moldings tend to have a simplified shape and thick walls, while a resin casting offers thin edges and a truer profile of the shell. The belts give the cockpit an occupied, lively look even without a pilot figure, and it is precisely this kind of detail that decides the overall impression in a large scale.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting to remove any mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, sand the marks smooth and protect your airways while sanding. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue, because ordinary plastic cement does not hold on resin. Paint the interior according to the documentation for the particular aircraft, and bring out the belts with a light wash and a dry brush.
