A figure of a pilot of the German or Austro-Hungarian air service of the First World War period in 1:32 scale. An accessory to a model of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The subject is a pilot from the German or Austro-Hungarian air service of the First World War. The airmen of both countries shared a similar training and a similar idea of equipment, and in the open cockpits of the machines of the day they dressed above all against the cold and the airflow. Such an airman set beside a model gives the machine scale and at the same time places the model in the period it comes from.
It is a figure in 1:32 scale. The number of parts and the pose are given in the manufacturer's information and illustration. Neither a model of an aircraft nor a base is included.
Before painting, wash and degrease the figure and let it dry perfectly. Apply the paint in thin coats, so that the folds of the clothing and the small items of equipment are not lost. The procedure that has proved itself is a base shade, then once dry a darkening into the folds and finally careful lightening of the edges. Leather and fur come alive with fine differences of shade, as a uniform brown area reads flat. Leave the face until the end and work in good light.
It suits builders of models of First World War aircraft in 1:32 scale and collectors of figures. Painting a figure is a different discipline from building an aircraft, so it is also an opportunity to try it out on a single piece without risking a finished model.
The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
