HGW 1:32 Hannover Cl.II – engine and machine gun is a brass photo-etched set for a detailed rendering of the power unit and the armament of a model of the German aircraft Hannover Cl.II. It is not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A brass photo-etched set in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker HGW aimed at drawing out the engine and the armament of a model of the German aircraft Hannover Cl.II. It holds fine photo-etched parts for the exposed inline engine and for the jackets and fittings of the machine gun, which replace or complete the coarser plastic elements of the kit. The set is NOT a model on its own.
The Hannover Cl.II was a German two-seat light combat biplane of 1917 and 1918, powered by the Argus As.III inline engine. Its defense was provided by the rear gunner's movable machine gun completed by fixed forward armament. These elements are among the most interesting details of a model to look at.
Separate the fine parts with a sharp knife and shape them with a bender. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. It is best to finish and paint the engine and the machine gun before they are built in, while access to them is still good; a darker wash into the recesses will bring out the metallic look.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
