The Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 masking set in 1:32 scale from HGW makes it easier to paint this German floatplane fighter of the First World War accurately.
Responsibility details are not available.
This self-adhesive masking set in 1:32 scale is intended for a model of the German two-seat floatplane the Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 of the First World War. It is neither a kit nor paint: these are precisely cut masks that bound off the markings and the fields of color during painting, so that you achieve sharp transitions without laborious masking with tape. The HGW brand has long concentrated on masking sets.
The Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 was a two-seat floatplane fighter of Imperial German naval aviation, in whose design Ernst Heinkel took part. It was deployed over the North Sea for coastal defense and escort work; the characteristic upswept rear fuselage gave the rear gunner a good field of fire to the rear. It was among the most successful German naval fighters of its day.
Stick the masks onto perfectly dry, smooth paint. Lay them down with tweezers, press the edges against paint creeping under them and spray thin layers at right angles to the edge. Once the paint has dried, lift the mask off while it is still flexible. Residues of adhesive can be removed by a gentle polishing.
The masking set does not contain paints or the model. It serves as an aid in painting, unless stated otherwise.
