The decal sheet Attitude Aviation 1:32 Hispano HA-1112 M1L Movie Star offers markings for the machines in the form in which they flew during the shooting of films.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a decal sheet in 1:32 scale, not a kit. The set is intended for a model of the Spanish Hispano HA-1112 M1L aircraft and offers markings in the film configuration, that is, in the form in which these aircraft flew during the shooting of feature films with an aviation theme. The decals complete a model that the builder obtains separately.
The HA-1112 M1L was the Spanish licensed descendant of the German Bf 109 fighter. The Spanish company Hispano Aviacion produced the airframe without the original German engine and in the last version fitted it with the British Rolls-Royce Merlin V-12 engine. The result was a machine with a differently shaped nose, a different propeller and a characteristically placed radiator, so it is distinguishable from the German original at first glance. After withdrawal from active service a number of these aircraft stayed airworthy, and because they were practically the only available machines of a similar silhouette, they became a rewarding subject for film production.
Decals belong on a smooth glossy base. Matte paint has a microscopically broken surface and a silvery veil arises under the film, so spray the painted model with gloss varnish first. Cut the decal out as close to the motif as possible, soak it in lukewarm water, let it loosen and move it into place. Draw the surplus water off with a paper tissue, use a decal softener on a broken surface and let everything dry thoroughly, ideally overnight. Finally varnish the model over in the degree of gloss you want, and the edge of the film will disappear.
The package contains the decals alone. A kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
