This is NOT a model of the aircraft but a detail accessory. The set contains turned metal barrels for the six-barrel M61A1 Vulcan 20 mm rotary cannon together with photo-etched barrel clamps in 1:32 scale. The combination of metal and photo-etch replaces the plastic parts and gives the model the greatest realism.
The M61A1 Vulcan is an American six-barrel rotary cannon of 20 mm caliber of the Gatling system with a very high rate of fire. It makes up the gun armament of a number of postwar American fighters. Characteristic is the cluster of six barrels joined by clamps.
Glue the metal barrels with cyanoacrylate, bend the photo-etched clamps to match the real thing and fit them onto the cluster of barrels. Deburr and degrease the parts first. Assembling the cluster accurately calls for careful work.
This is a metal and photo-etched detail accessory, not an aircraft kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
