Aerobonus 1:32 Modern Czech Air Force Fighter Pilot is an unpainted resin figure of a contemporary pilot of the Czech Air Force in flight gear, in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A stand-alone figure of cast resin in 1:32 scale from the Aerobonus brand, which is made by the Czech company Aires. It represents a contemporary Czech military pilot in flight gear: a suit, a survival vest and a helmet with an oxygen mask. The casting is supplied unpainted and is intended as an accessory to a large aircraft model or to an airfield scene.
The package contains one figure. Figures in this line tend to be split into torso, head and arms so that the pose can be adapted, but you will find the exact division of the parts only in the package. It is an interesting item precisely because figures of Czech crews are made only exceptionally in 1:32 scale, so a model of a Czech aircraft gets matching crew. At the same time a figure beside a large model lends the scene a sense of scale.
Wash the casting in warm water with detergent to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the parting seams wet and with your airways protected. The parts are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and the joints are filled once glued. A primer follows, which on a figure reveals every unevenness. Paint from the base areas through shading in the folds to the lighter edges; leave the face and the visor of the helmet for last and use the finest brush. A matte varnish unifies the fabrics, while the harness and the hoses can stay slightly glossy. Check the specific shades of the gear against photographs of the subject you are building.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
