This is a photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:32 scale. It holds the harness belts of the pilot's seat of the P-51 Mustang fighter, that is the harness with its buckles and fittings. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that replaces the simplified plastic belts and brings the cabin interior to life.
The North American P-51 Mustang was one of the most successful American fighters of the Second World War. In the version with the Packard Merlin engine it excelled in range and high-altitude performance and escorted bomber formations over Europe. A detailed cockpit is a prominent feature on large 1:32 models.
The photo-etched parts are separated from the fret, shaped with tweezers and glued with super glue. The belts are painted, the buckles brought out and the harness arranged loosely over the seat so that it looks natural. The accessory is fitted before the cabin is closed up.
This is a photo-etched accessory for refining a model, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
