The package contains parts etched from thin sheet, which replace or supplement the simplified plastic parts. The set does not make a model on its own — to use it you need the matching plastic kit, which you should check beforehand.
According to the name the set concentrates on the landing gear. Photo-etched parts in this area typically take care of detail that cannot be molded in plastic at the right thickness — thin rods, reinforcements, covers and the linings of the gear bays. Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, not with nippers — the sheet would otherwise deform. Make the bends in a photo-etch bender or between two blades so that the edge is sharp. Degrease the sheet before gluing and use superglue (cyanoacrylate) or a special adhesive for photo-etched parts; ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Treat bare sheet with a primer meant for metal before painting, otherwise the paint flakes off.
