Pine Tree - Yellow Tone 1:32 — HGW wood decor (wet transfer)

This is a sheet of wet transfers, not a kit. HGW has printed a continuous wood texture on it that you transfer onto the covering and structural parts of a model — plywood fuselages, floors, ribs, propellers and interior details of First World War aircraft. The pattern is pine plywood in a yellow, warmly yellowish shade typical of freshly varnished wood. The result is a fine drawing of growth rings and knots that is hard to reproduce with paint or a dry brush. The 1:32 scale matches large models of biplanes and monoplanes.

Use

• Go over the base with gloss varnish so that the transfer adheres perfectly and no silvered edges appear.
• Cut out the shape you need, moisten it in lukewarm water and move it onto the surface; align the direction of the pattern with the long axis of the part.
• Wipe off the water and the air bubbles with a soft cloth, or use a decal softener.
• Once dry, go over it with semi-gloss or matte varnish and blend it with the surrounding finish.
