An injection-molded plastic kit of the Polish PZL P.11c fighter in the large 1:32 scale from IBG Models. This edition offers markings for aircraft in Romanian service. The kit holds a richly laid-out interior and well worked-out engine and armament assemblies.
The PZL P.11c was a Polish all-metal fighter with the characteristic high gull wing of the so-called Polish type, which gave the pilot an excellent view. It was powered by an air-cooled radial engine and at the time of its appearance it was among the best, but by the start of the Second World War it already lagged behind modern fighters. Besides the Polish Air Force, aircraft of this family also served with the Romanian Air Force, where some of them ended up after 1939. The characteristic corrugated duralumin skin was one of the recognition features of the whole PZL family.
In the large 1:32 scale the engine and the cockpit both stand out, so finish and paint them before closing things up. Cover the glazing with a mask, lay down primer and spray thin coats with an airbrush. The corrugated wing skin is rewarding for fine washes that bring out the texture of the surface. Add the bracing wires of the landing gear and the wing at the very end for the full effect.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
