A decal sheet in 1:32 scale with the grain of reddish light wood in a clear version, in which the final tone is set by the color of the base.
Responsibility details are not available.
This sheet differs from the opaque ones in that the film is clear. It carries only the drawing of the grain itself, while the tone of the wood comes from whatever you spray underneath it. On a single sheet you can therefore produce several shades of wood side by side, simply by changing the base color. The grain is drawn in a reddish light tone that matches wood with a warm, reddish cast.
The base decides the result more than it does with opaque sheets, so it pays to try the shade on an offcut of plastic before you touch the model. A light sandy to ocher cast gives fresh wood, a warmer brown moves the whole thing toward an older and darker tone. Finish the base with a gloss varnish; on flat paint a silvery veil forms under the film. It suits wooden and plywood-covered areas of the fuselage, propellers, floors and cockpit sides, as well as accessories for dioramas.
This is a waterslide decal. Cut off a piece slightly larger than the area to be covered, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest aside until the film moves freely. Then slide it onto the part, line the direction of the grain up along the part and blot the excess water away with a cloth, working from the center to the edges. Draw the film into engravings and transitions with a decal softener. It is best to add the detail work only once it has dried, so that it does not smear.
A decal sheet is supplied. The model, paints, varnish and decal softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
