This product is a set from the Basic Line range by HGW for a plastic model of the British Sopwith Camel fighter biplane of the First World War in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model. The Basic Line range brings two key accessories together in one package: pre-cut die-cut masks and fabric seat belts.
The masking part consists of self-adhesive masks for the glazing and other areas that need protecting while spraying, with crisp edges of the right scale width. The fabric seat belts are of thin cloth with a pre-printed pattern and metal buckles; they look more realistic and hang more naturally than belts of plastic or photo-etched metal, which is exactly what the open cockpit of a biplane of the period shows off.
The masks are transferred onto the surfaces with tweezers and pressed down before spraying. The fabric belts are shaped, threaded through the buckles and bonded into the seat with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The cloth can be convincingly arranged into a natural hang.
This is an accessory, not the model itself. The kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
