HGW 1:32 Sopwith Snipe is a brass photo-etched set for refining the detail of a model of the British fighter biplane Sopwith Snipe. It is not an airplane model but an upgrade accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A brass photo-etched set in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker HGW, intended to draw out the detail of a model of the British fighter aircraft Sopwith Snipe. It holds fine photo-etched parts for the interior as well as the external fittings, which replace the coarser plastic elements of the base kit. The set is NOT an airplane model on its own.
The Sopwith Snipe was a British single-seat fighter biplane of the end of the First World War, conceived as the successor to the successful Sopwith Camel. It was powered by the Bentley BR.2 rotary engine of around 230 horsepower. It was agile and tough and it stayed in service with the Royal Air Force for a number of years after the war.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a mat and shape them with a photo-etch bender. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, and on larger areas with epoxy. Degrease the brass before painting and prime it so that the paint holds well.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
