The Spandau machine gun – a photo-etched detail set in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker HGW. Brass photo-etch for a faithful rendering of the German aircraft machine gun of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of brass photo-etched parts for a faithful rendering of the German aircraft machine gun commonly nicknamed the Spandau in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but an armament accessory meant to be fitted onto the plastic kit of a German aircraft of the First World War.
The designation Spandau took hold for the German synchronized aircraft machine gun of 7.92 mm caliber, derived from the infantry machine gun and fitted to most German fighters of the First World War. A characteristic feature is the perforated barrel cooling jacket, which the photo-etched parts let you show far more faithfully than a solid plastic part.
The photo-etched parts replace or complete the elements of the machine gun, above all the perforated barrel jacket and the fittings. Separate the parts from the fret, bend them accurately according to the instructions and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the surface before painting and apply a base for metal.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
