An injection-molded plastic model of the Su-25UB Frogfoot B in the large 1:32 scale from the Trumpeter brand. It is the two-seat combat trainer version of the Su-25 attack aircraft, with two seats in tandem. The sizable kit with its high parts count offers rich surface detail, well worked out cockpits, engine covers that can be opened, a photo-etched fret and rich external stores. The large format invites painting the interior and the powerplants before they are closed up.
The Su-25 (NATO reporting name Frogfoot) is a Soviet and later Russian single-seat subsonic attack aircraft intended for the close support of ground units. The Su-25UB version is its two-seat combat trainer variant with two seats in tandem and a raised rear seat for the instructor; NATO designates it Frogfoot-B. The aircraft is built for use over the battlefield - an armored cockpit protects the pilot and the machine can take heavy battle damage. It carries a pair of turbojet engines and a wide range of unguided and guided weapons on underwing pylons. Besides crew training, the two-seat version is also used for combat tasks.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic and fix the photo-etched and metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue. In the large 1:32 scale it pays to finish and paint both cockpits first and only then close the fuselage; the engine covers can be left open. Mask the glazing. Apply a primer before painting, put the paints on with an airbrush in thin coats, bring out the panel lines with a wash and do not forget to assemble and hang the external stores.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
