The AN-M30A1 was an American general-purpose aerial bomb of a nominal weight of 100 pounds, that is, from the lighter part of the range. A general-purpose bomb is in design terms a compromise between fragmentation and blast effect and was used against a wide range of targets. Bombs of this category were carried in World War II and in the years that followed by fighter and attack machines, as a rule several at a time on wing racks or on a bomb rack under the fuselage, so you will meet them on models in whole series. Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the release agent is washed off. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the surfaces wet, with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). With a set of six pieces it pays to work in series: first clean all the pieces up, then spray them all at once with a primer and the overall shade — you will achieve a uniform look that is hard to reach piece by piece. Do the color identification stripes with masking tape or a fine brush only once the base is finished, and even everything out at the end with matte varnish.
