This resin addition in 1:32 scale from the Aerobonus brand is not an aircraft model, but a piece of airfield ground equipment. The H-1 heater of the Herman Nelson type served with the US Air Force to preheat the engines, cockpits and systems of aircraft in cold weather. The model will complete a diorama or a display scene and give it the faithful setting of airfield operations.
Portable and towable airfield heaters were part of the usual equipment of ground personnel (ground support equipment). The hot-air unit carried warm air through hoses to the aircraft being served. Hardware of this kind was used by the USAF for many decades and is a typical feature of airfield scenes.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Working hardware looks best with a patina: we recommend scuffs, rust, dust and oil effects. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
