This resin accessory from the Aerobonus figure range of the Aires brand holds one figure of an American pilot and a pilot's seat to go with it, in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory that fills the cabin of the L-19/O-1 Bird Dog observation and liaison aircraft with a faithfully rendered crew.
The Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog was a light high-wing aircraft used by the US Army as an observation, liaison and forward air control aircraft; it became known above all in the Vietnam War directing artillery fire and air strikes. The pilot is rendered in period flight gear.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with your airways protected. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer and paint with acrylics; the gear and the skin come out well after being picked out with a wash and dry brushing.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package.
