Aviattic — irregularly painted night lozenge pattern in 4 colors, 1:32, white base is a decal sheet with the dark camouflage of German night machines of the First World War in the form of a hand-painted polygon pattern.
Responsibility details are not available.
This Aviattic decal sheet in 1:32 scale captures the so-called night lozenge pattern in a four-color version – the dark tones of the polygon camouflage carried by German machines intended for night operations in the First World War. Unlike machine-printed fabric, this sheet imitates an irregularly, hand-applied pattern: the polygons do not have perfectly sharp edges and a regular grid, which gives the model a very authentic look. Printing on a white opaque base covers fully and does not depend on the color of the coat under the decal.
The lozenge pattern was the German polygon camouflage printing of aircraft fabric from the First World War – it was printed directly onto the weave, which saved the weight of paint, and at the same time the pattern optically broke up the outline of an aircraft. The four-color variant designates the number of shades in the pattern. On night machines darkened tones were used and in a number of cases the pattern was applied to the fabric by hand, that is irregularly – and it is exactly this look that the sheet reproduces.
For modelers of night bombing and two-seat machines of the First World War in 1:32 scale who want dark camouflage with a convincingly irregular, painted character.
This is a decal sheet – an add-on to a kit, not a standalone model. The pattern is a historical camouflage of the First World War.
