Darne Lewis with full cooling fins (2 pcs) 1:32 is a resin detail set from GasPatch models — a pair of French Lewis aircraft machine guns of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an airplane kit but a supplementary set from GasPatch models. The package holds two resin castings of the French Lewis aircraft machine gun of the First World War period, in the form with full cooling fins, in 1:32 scale. The set serves to refine the armament of aircraft models.
The Lewis was a light machine gun widely used in First World War aircraft service — most often as the observer's flexible weapon. The weapon is typical for its cooling jacket around the barrel; in this form the fins of the radiator run along its full extent. The French air service put Lewis guns on its aircraft on a large scale. The caliber was .303, that is roughly 7.7 mm.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces lightly with respiratory protection. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Emphasize the pronounced fins with a dark wash and the metal parts with steel shades.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
