Lewis Mk.I standard type (2 pcs) 1:32 is a resin detail set from GasPatch models — a pair of British Lewis aircraft machine guns of the First World War in the standard form.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an airplane kit but a supplementary set from GasPatch models. The package holds two resin castings of the Lewis Mk.I aircraft machine gun in the standard form, in 1:32 scale. The set serves to refine the armament of First World War aircraft models.
The Lewis was a light machine gun of American design which the British Empire refined and used on a mass scale. In First World War aircraft service it proved itself mainly as the observer's flexible weapon or as a pilot-operated weapon firing forward. The typical features are the cylindrical cooling jacket around the barrel and the pan magazine on top. The caliber was .303, that is roughly 7.7 mm.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces lightly with respiratory protection. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bring out the pan magazine and the barrel jacket with a wash and the metal parts with steel shades.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
